Method, Apparatus, and Computer Readable Medium for Providing Wireless Device Protection Service

An apparatus for providing wireless device protection services, the apparatus comprising at least one processor coupled to a memory, the memory comprising computer executable instructions that, when executed by the processor, configure the apparatus to:

• receive, from a first wireless device, a subscriber identifier associated with a wireless device subscriber identification module;
• determine whether the subscriber identifier is associated with a wireless device protection plan;
• in response to determining that the subscriber identifier is associated with the wireless device protection plan, determine whether the first wireless device is eligible for the wireless device protection plan;
• and
• in response to determining that the first wireless device is eligible for the wireless device protection plan, register the first wireless device with the wireless device protection plan to provide services associated with the wireless device protection plan for the first wireless device.

A non-transitory computer readable storage medium comprising instructions that, when executed by a processor, configure the processor to:

• detect a change in a subscriber identification module associated with a first wireless device;
• in response to detecting the change in the subscriber identification module, provide a notification of the change in the subscriber identification module;
• and
• in response to providing the notification and based on a subscriber identifier indicated by the subscriber identification module, receive coverage of the first wireless device under a wireless device protection plan associated with the subscriber identification module.

A method for providing wireless device protection services comprising:

• receiving, from a first wireless device, a subscriber identifier associated with a wireless device subscriber identification module;
• determining, using a processor, that the subscriber identifier is associated with a wireless device protection plan;
• determining that a second wireless device other than the first wireless device is registered with the wireless device protection plan;
• registering the first wireless device with the wireless device protection plan to provide services associated with the wireless device protection plan for the first wireless device;
• and
• revoking registration of the second wireless device with the wireless device protection plan.
