Abstract
Compositions and methods for treatment of conditions such as ear pain are disclosed.
Claims30
A topical formulation comprising:
- (a) an effective pain-reducing amount of an anesthetic or analgesic;
- and
- (b) a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier;
- wherein the topical formulation is substantially non-flowable after application to an ear canal of a subject.

A topical formulation, the formulation comprising an anesthetic, wherein the formulation provides anesthesia for at least about 4 hours after application to an ear canal of a subject.
A topical formulation, the formulation comprising an anesthetic, wherein the formulation has an onset of action of less than about 10 minutes after application to an ear canal of a subject.
A topical formulation consisting essentially of:
- (a) an effective pain-reducing amount of an anesthetic or analgesic;
- and
- (b) a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier;
- wherein the topical formulation is substantially non-flowable after application to an ear canal of a subject.
