Abstract
The present invention discloses an adsorbent material having the following formula: CuwZnFeyAlz(OH)2(A)(y+z)/2.mH2O, wherein w+x+y+z=1; and 0.20≦w≦0.60; 0.20≦x≦0.60; 0.05≦y≦0.25; 0.05≦z≦0.25; 0.20≦(y+z)≦0.33; and 0.50≦m≦0.80; a process for producing the adsorbent material and its use for removing sulfur-containing matter from gaseous streams.

Adsorbent material having the following formula:
- CuwZnxFeyAlz(OH)2(A)(y+z)/2.mH2O
- wherein w+x+y+z=1;
- and 0.20≦w≦0.60;
- 0.20≦x≦0.60;
- 0.05≦y≦0.25;
- 0.05≦z≦0.25;
- 0.20≦(y+z)≦0.33;
- and 0.50≦m≦0.80.
