Abstract
Embodiments of the present invention include systems and methods that relate to pulse oximetry. Specifically, one embodiment includes an oximeter sensor comprising a light emitting element configured to emit light, a light detector configured to detect the light, and a memory chip having a built-in trimmed resistor, the trimmed resistor having a resistance value that is detectable by a monitor.
Claims28
A device wearable by a patient, comprising:
- an adhesive layer configured to couple at least a portion of the device to the patient;
- a sensor configured to collect sensor data from the patient;
- a processor configured to evaluate the sensor data and to generate physiological data based in least in part on the sensor data;
- at least one memory configured to store the physiological data, the physiological data comprising at least data representative of a physiological waveform;
- and
- an interface configured to transmit at least some of the physiological data to a remote device, wherein the device is configured to operate independently from the remote device.
