Abstract
A retaining device for retaining a fiber-optic cable. The retaining device includes an elongated hollow part configured to receive the fiber-optic cable and a retaining element extending away from the hollow part, when viewed in a cross-section. The retaining element is configured to be inserted into a groove.

A retaining device for retaining a fiber-optic cable, the retaining device comprising:
- an elongated hollow part configured to receive the fiber-optic cable;
- and
- a retaining element extending away from the hollow part, when viewed in a cross-section, the retaining element being configured to be inserted into a groove.
A method for mounting a fiber-optic cable, comprising:
- preparing a retaining device according to claim 1;
- inserting the retaining element into the groove;
- and
- inserting the fiber-optic cable into the retaining device.
