Abstract
Methods, systems and apparatus for cleaning phonograph records are disclosed. In some embodiments, a phonograph record can be cleaned in a liquid basin using ultrasonic transducers, wherein the liquid basin has a dampening structure. Also, the ultrasonic transducers are disposed on a flexible wall for reducing vibrations of the cleaner.

A record cleaner comprising:
- a case having an opening within which to place a record;
- and
- an agitating device connected to a liquid basin within the case, wherein the liquid basin has a dampening structure positioned near a top portion of liquid basin, the dampening structure extending to a location between a liquid surface position and a record position, within the basin.
A record cleaner comprising:
- a casing;
- a liquid basin disposed within the casing, the liquid basin have a run-off level or a maximum liquid level;
- an elastomeric wall forming at least one wall of the liquid basin;
- and
- an ultrasonic transducer attached to the elastomeric wall.

A method of cleaning a record using a record cleaner comprising:
- retaining a record within a liquid basin;
- transporting liquid to the basin from a reservoir using a pump;
- rotating the record within the liquid basin during a washing cycle;
- agitating the liquid within the liquid basin during the washing cycle, using an ultrasonic device;
- and
- blocking against an agitation force near a surface level of the liquid within the liquid basin by providing a wall structure having liquid on both sides thereof, the wall structure being laterally situated between the ultrasonic device and the record.
