Multi-position hole saw assembly with plug ejector

A hole saw assembly comprising:

• an elongated arbor having a machine end and a tool end, the machine end being suitable for being mounted at into a power tool or a drill chuck of a drilling machine,
• a mounting piece arranged around the arbor so that the mounting piece is rotationally locked to the arbor but slidable over the arbor in a longitudinal direction thereof,
• a circular saw blade mounted on the mounting piece with a cutting edge of the circular saw blade directed towards the tool end of the arbor and so that a rotational axis of the circular saw blade coincides with a longitudinal axis of the arbor,
• a central drill extending along the rotational axis of the circular saw blade and being rotationally and axially fixed to the arbor,
• means for releasably fixating the mounting piece in relation to the arbor at one or more positions along the longitudinal axis of the arbor, and
• a plug ejector mounted on the central drill in such a way that the plug ejector may be used for ejecting a plug of sawn material from an interior of the circular saw blade by sliding the mounting piece and the circular saw blade in relation to the central drill in a direction towards the machine end of the arbor, and in such a way that the plug ejector may work as a stop for the sliding of the mounting piece towards the tool end of the arbor.
