Abstract
A technique includes using a filter having filtering parameters based at least in part on a dispersion curve of at least one vibration mode of a streamer to filter a measurement acquired by at least one sensor of the streamer and using results of the filtering to suppress vibration noise present in the measurement.
Claims21
A method comprising:
- using a filter having filtering parameters based at least in part on a dispersion curve of at least one vibration mode of a streamer to filter a measurement acquired by at least one sensor of the streamer;
- and
- using results of the filtering to suppress vibration noise present in the measurement.
An apparatus comprising:
- an interface to receive data representing a measurement acquired by at least one sensor of a streamer while in tow;
- and
- a processor to process the data to:
- filter the data based at least in part on a dispersion curve for the streamer;
- and
- use results of the filtering to suppress the vibration noise present in the measurement.
3 more elements
An article comprising a non-transitory computer readable storage medium to store instructions that when executed by a computer, cause the computer to:
- use a filter having filtering parameters based at least in part on a dispersion curve of at least one vibration mode of a streamer to filter a measurement acquired by at least one sensor of the streamer;
- and
- use results of the filtering to suppress vibration noise present in the measurement.
