Abstract
Provided herein, in some embodiments, is an apparatus including a plastic component; a stationary component including a thrustplate; a rotatable component including the plastic component affixed to a sleeve; and at least a first fluid dynamic bearing formed between the thrustplate and an opposing surface of the rotatable component.

An apparatus comprising:
- a plastic component;
- a stationary component comprising a thrustplate;
- and
- a rotatable component comprising a sleeve, a counterplate, and the plastic component,
- wherein the plastic component is positioned outside the sleeve, and
- wherein the thrustplate and the counterplate are positioned to form a first fluid dynamic bearing at a top portion of the sleeve.
