Remote Sharing of Measurement Data

A system for sharing measurement data with a remote device, the system comprising:

• a mobile computing device at an equipment site,
• wherein the mobile computing device is configured to:
• establish a first communication connection with at least one of a set of one or more measurement devices configured to measure data with respect to equipment at the equipment site;
• receive measurement data regarding the equipment at the equipment site, wherein the measurement data is received from the at least one measurement device by way of the first communication connection;
• and
• while remaining at the equipment site, receive a request to share the measurement data with a selected contact via a remote device, and in response thereto:
• establish a second communication connection with the remote device;
• identify the measurement data to be shared with the selected contact;
• and
• cause the identified measurement data to be communicated to the remote device by way of the second communication connection for review by the selected contact.

A nontransitory computer-readable medium having computer-executable instructions stored thereon that, in response to execution by one or more processors of a mobile computing device, cause the mobile computing device to share measurement data with a remote device by:

• establishing, by the mobile computing device at an equipment site, a first communication connection with a measurement device configured to measure data with respect to equipment at the equipment site;
• receiving, by the mobile computing device, measurement data regarding the equipment at the equipment site, wherein the measurement data is received from the measurement device by way of the first communication connection;
• and
• while remaining at the equipment site, receiving, by the mobile computing device, a request to share the measurement data with a selected contact via a remote device, and in response thereto:
• establishing a second communication connection with the remote device;
• identifying the measurement data to be shared with the selected contact;
• and
• causing the identified measurement data to be communicated to the remote device by way of the second communication connection for review by the selected contact.
