Systems and methods for a shopping neighborhood feed in a network-based marketplace

A method comprising:

• receiving a request, over a network, from a mobile device, the request is associated with a user that is associated with feed selection information including interests and content selection information, the mobile device being continuously monitored to update a current location of the mobile device;
• identifying a plurality of source feeds based on the feed selection information and the current location of the mobile device, the plurality of source feeds including a shopping neighborhood source feed and a plurality of store source feeds, the plurality of source feeds including a first plurality of content elements, the shopping neighborhood source feed including content elements that describe points of interest that are located inside a physical perimeter including a plurality of stores that includes a first store that corresponds to a first store feed and a second store that corresponds to a second store feed;
• generating a presentation feed by retrieving a second plurality of content elements from at least one of the plurality of source feeds based on the content selection information, the generating being performed continuously and in real time;
• communicating a first interface, over the network, to the user, the interface includes a portion of the second plurality of content elements.

A machine-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed by at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to perform actions comprising:

• receiving a request, over a network, from a mobile device;
• associating the request with a user that is associated with feed selection information including interests associated with the user and content selection information, the mobile device being continuously monitored to update a current location of the mobile device;
• identifying a plurality of source feeds based on the feed selection information and the current location of the mobile device, the plurality of source feeds including a shopping neighborhood source feed and a plurality of store source feeds, the plurality of source feeds including a first plurality of content elements, the shopping neighborhood source feed including content elements that describe points of interest that are located inside a physical perimeter including a plurality of stores that includes a first store that corresponds to a first store feed and a second store that corresponds to a second store feed;
• generating a presentation feed by retrieving a second plurality of content elements from at least one of the plurality of source feeds based on the content selection information, the generating being performed continuously and in real time;
• communicating the first interface, over the network, to the user, the user interface including a portion of second plurality of content elements.
