Automated discounting and negotiation

A system for automatically responding to offers, the system comprising:

• a server configured to:
• receive an offer for the purchase of a product or service;
• automatically generate, using an automated negotiation module, a response to the offer based upon market condition data and merchant campaign data;
• and
• send the response to the offer.

An article of manufacture comprising a computer-readable storage medium storing instructions that, when executed by a processor, perform a method for automatically responding to offers, the method comprising:

• receiving, at a server, an offer for the purchase of a product or service;
• automatically generating, by the server, a response to the offer based upon market condition data and merchant campaign data;
• and
• sending the response to the offer.

A system for automatically conducting negotiations, the system comprising:

• a server configured to:
• access merchant and consumer campaign data for a given product or service to be sold;
• and
• automatically conduct a negotiation between a merchant and a consumer, using an automated negotiation module, wherein,
• the automated negotiation module arrives at a final purchase price based on supply data, demand data, merchant campaign data, and consumer campaign data for the product or service being sold.
