Abstract
A method and system for generating an auction report script are described. An inventory of possible assets to be auctioned is monitored during an auction event for changes in the assets' availability statuses. Script content is generated for an auctioneer based on the assets which have a status of available for auction, and the content of this script is repeatedly updated during the auction event.
Claims20
A method for managing an auction event, the method being implemented by one or more processors and comprising:
- updating an asset pool over at least a portion of a duration of the auction event, wherein at least some assets of the asset pool change status over the course of the auction event as between being available for auction and not being available for auction;
- generating content for a script for an auctioneer, the content being based on assets of the asset pool that have a status of being available for auction when the content is generated;
- and
- updating the content repeatedly over at least the portion of the duration of the auction event based on input from external sources that affect the availability of the status.
A system comprising:
- one or more network interfaces;
- one or more memory resources;
- and
- one or more processors coupled to the one or more network interfaces and the one or more memory resources, the one or more processors to:
- update an asset pool over at least a portion of a duration of the auction event, wherein at least some assets of the asset pool change status over the course of the auction event as between being available for auction and not being available for auction;
- generate content that includes a script for an auctioneer, the content being based on assets of the asset pool that have a status of being available for auction when the content is generated;
- and
- update the content of the script repeatedly over at least the portion of the duration of the auction event.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to:
- update an asset pool of possible assets over at least a portion of a duration of the auction event, wherein at least some assets of the asset pool change status over the course of the auction event as between being available for auction and not being available for auction;
- generate content that includes a script for an auctioneer, the content being based on assets of the asset pool that have a status of being available for auction when the content is generated;
- and
- update the content of the script repeatedly over at least the portion of the duration of the auction event.
