Accessing media content in a media management system

A computer-readable storage medium including instructions that cause a system to perform operations to access media content, the operations comprising:

• converting an artistic item on a hard-copy media implementation to a digital media file;
• receiving a first request to access the digital media file from a client device;
• determining that the digital media file is available for the client device to access;
• approving the first request by providing a presentation of the digital media file to the client device;
• receiving, from the client device, a second request to add one or more features to the presentation of the digital media file;
• and
• adding the one or more features to the presentation of the digital media file.

A system for accessing media content, the system comprising:

• a processor;
• and
• a memory storing instructions that, when executed, cause the system to:
• convert an artistic item on a hard-copy media implementation to a digital media file;
• receive a first request to access the digital media file from a client device;
• determine that the digital media file is available for the client device to access;
• approve the first request by providing a presentation of the digital media file to the client device;
• receive, from the client device, a second request to add one or more features to the presentation of the digital media file;
• and
• add the one or more features to the presentation of the digital media file.
