Abstract
A bone void filling prosthesis including a body and at least one leg. The body has a frustoconical profile, a length defined between a first end and a second end, and an aperture extending through the entirety of the length. The aperture defines a sidewall having a thickness spanning between an outer surface and an inner surface of the body. The at least one leg has a frustoconical profile, and a first and second end. The at least one leg is coupled to and extends away from the body such that the first end of the at least one leg is disposed between the first and second ends of the body.
Claims20
A bone void filling prosthesis comprising:
- a body having a frustoconical profile, a length defined between a first end and a second end, and an aperture extending through the entirety of the length, the aperture defining a sidewall having a thickness spanning between an outer surface and an inner surface of the body;
- and
- at least one leg having a frustoconical profile, and a first and second end, the at least one leg being coupled to and extending away from the body such that the first end of the at least one leg is disposed between the first and second ends of the body.
A bone void filling prosthesis comprising:
- a body having a length defined between a first end and a second end, and an aperture extending through the entirety of the length, the aperture defining a sidewall having a thickness spanning between an outer surface and an inner surface of the body, the aperture extending through the sidewall from the first end to the second end.
A bone void filling prosthesis comprising:
- a body having a length defined between a first end and a second end, and an aperture extending through the entirety of the length, the aperture defining a sidewall having a thickness spanning between an outer surface and an inner surface of the body, the outer surface being formed of a porous material for promoting bony ingrowth, the inner surface being formed of solid material, the inner surface and outer surface being connected at a boundary of the prosthesis by a rim formed of solid material that extends through the entirety of the thickness and forms at least a portion of the outer surface.
