Abstract
A system includes a microprocessor executable verification module in a base unit and a microprocessor readable identifier of an endovascular device in a memory of the endovascular device. The microprocessor executable verification module, based on the identifier, at least one of configures the endovascular device for use and determines whether the endovascular device can be enabled for use.
Claims24
A method, comprising:
- receiving, by a microprocessor executable verification module in a base unit configured to couple to an endovascular device and from the endovascular device, an identifier of the endovascular device;
- and
- based on the identifier, the verification module at least one of configuring the endovascular device for use and determining whether the endovascular device can be enabled for use.
A system, comprising:
- a microprocessor executable verification module in a base unit configured to couple to an endovascular device;
- and
- a microprocessor readable identifier of the endovascular device in a memory of the endovascular device;
- and
- wherein the base unit couples to the endovascular device and the microprocessor executable verification module, based on the identifier, at least one of configures the endovascular device for use and determines whether the endovascular device can be enabled for use.
A tangible and non-transient computer readable medium in a base unit configured to couple to an endovascular device and comprising microprocessor readable and executable instructions that, when executed:
- accesses an identifier of the endovascular device, the identifier being located at the endovascular device;
- and
- based on the identifier, at least one of configures the endovascular device for use and determines whether the endovascular device can be enabled for use.
