Abstract
The present disclosure provides medical devices possessing reactants thereon, which further promote adherence of the device to tissue in vivo and/or release of bioactive agents from the device.

A medical implant comprising:
- a first component comprising a first reactant in combination with at least one bioactive agent;
- and
- a second component comprising a second reactant,
- wherein the second reactant degrades the first reactant, thereby releasing the bioactive agent in vivo.
