Abstract
Methods for enhancing an immune response to a vaccine using co-administration of radiation.
Claims14
A method of enhancing a protective immune response to an antigen in a subject, the method comprising:
- exposing the skin of the subject to continuous-wave radiation at a wavelength of 1064 nm;
- and
- administering to the subject a dose of the antigen, wherein the antigen is administered intradermally, into or immediately adjacent to, the skin exposed to the irradiation.
A method of enhancing a protective immune response to an antigen in a subject, the method comprising:
- exposing the skin of the subject to continuous-wave radiation at a wavelength of between 1050 nm and 1080 nm, in a total dose of near-infrared radiation of between 25 J and 1200 J;
- and
- administering to the subject a dose of the antigen, wherein the antigen is administered intradermally, into or immediately adjacent to, the skin exposed to the irradiation.
