Provide herein are intranasal compositions which include geranylgeranyl acetone (GGA) and/or derivatives thereof and methods for treating a neural disease, disorder or condition with the same.

An intranasal composition, the composition comprising an effective amount of geranylgeranyl acetone (GGA) or a GGA derivative, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and a pharmaceutically acceptable excipient.
