Abstract
The invention relates to a compound of Formula I and methods of treating CFTR (cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator) mediated diseases, in particular cystic fibrosis, comprising the step of administering a therapeutically effective amount of a compound of Formula I to a patient in need thereof:

A compound of Formula I:
- or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, ester or prodrug thereof;
- wherein represents a single or double bond;
- R1 is selected from hydrogen, hydroxy, amino, —C1-C8 alkoxy, —C1-C8 cycloalkoxy, —C1-C8 alkylamino, and —C1-C8 dialkylamino;
- R2 is selected from hydrogen, halogen, C1-C8 alkyl, C2-C8 alkenyl, C2-C8 alkynyl, CF3, —C1-C8 alkoxy, —C1-C8 alkylamino, and —C1-C8 dialkylamino;
- R3 is selected from hydrogen, C1-C8 alkyl, C2-C8 alkenyl, and C2-C8 alkynyl;
- R4 is selected from absent, hydrogen, halogen, hydroxyl, amino, C1-C8 alkyl, C2-C8 alkenyl, C2-C8 alkynyl, CF3, NO2, CN, —C1-C8 alkoxy, —C1-C8 alkylamino, and —C1-C8 dialkylamino;
- R5 is selected from C1-C8 alkyl, C2-C8 alkenyl, C2-C8 alkynyl and C3-C6 cycloalkyl;
- R6 is selected from halogen, hydroxyl, amino, C1-C8 alkyl, C2-C8 alkenyl, C2-C8 alkynyl, —CF3, —NO2, —CN, —C1-C8 alkoxy, —C1-C8 alkylamino, and —C1-C8 dialkylamino;
- and,
- R7 is selected from hydrogen, halogen, hydroxyl, amino, C1-C8 alkyl, C2-C8 alkenyl, C2-C5 alkynyl, CF3, NO2, CN, —C1-C8 alkoxy, —C1-C8 alkylamino, and —C1-C8 dialkylamino.
