Abstract
Described herein are methods and compositions for enhancing pathogen immunity in plants and improving plant growth.
Claims24
An agricultural composition comprising the compound of Formula I
- or a salt thereof, wherein:
- R1, R2, R3, R4, and R5 are each independently selected from hydrogen, halogen, hydroxyl, alkoxyl, and substituted or unsubstituted heterocycloalkyl,
- wherein, when contacted with a plant, the compound increases pathogen resistance or growth of the plant compared to pathogen resistance or growth of a control plant not contacted with the compound.
A method for increasing pathogen resistance in a plant, comprising
- contacting the plant with an effective amount of a compound of Formula I,
- or a salt thereof, wherein:
- R1, R2, R3, R4, and R5 are each independently selected from hydrogen, halogen, hydroxyl, alkoxyl, and substituted or unsubstituted heterocycloalkyl, thereby increasing pathogen resistance in the plant compared to pathogen resistance of a control plant not contacted with the compound.
