Abstract
Described herein are methods and compositions for enhancing pathogen immunity in plants and improving plant growth.
Claims22
An agricultural composition comprising the compound of Formula I
- or a salt thereof, wherein:
- R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, R7, R8, R9, and R10 are each independently selected from hydrogen, halogen, hydroxyl, alkoxyl, nitro, substituted or unsubstituted amino, substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, substituted or unsubstituted alkenyl, and substituted or unsubstituted carbonyl,
- wherein, when contacted with a plant, the compound increases pathogen resistance or growth of the plant compared to pathogen resistance or growth of a control plant not contacted with the compound.
A method for increasing pathogen resistance in a plant, comprising
- contacting the plant with an effective amount of a compound of Formula I
- or a salt thereof, wherein:
- R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, R7, R8, R9, and R10 are each independently selected from hydrogen, halogen, hydroxyl, alkoxyl, nitro, substituted or unsubstituted amino, substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, substituted or unsubstituted alkenyl, and substituted or unsubstituted carbonyl, thereby increasing pathogen resistance in the plant compared to pathogen resistance of a control plant not contacted with the compound.
