Abstract
This invention pertains to a golf ball which includes a core, optionally one or more intermediate layers; and an outer cover layer, and where one or more of the outer cover or intermediate layers includes a high acid carboxylated elastomer composition, which has an elastomer backbone and one or more carboxy and which is the reaction product of a carboxylated elastomer and an amine containing compound.

A golf ball comprising;
- I a core;
- II optionally one or more intermediate layers;
- and
- III an outer cover layer, and
- wherein one or more of said outer cover layer or one or more intermediate layers comprises a high acid carboxylated elastomer composition, said high acid carboxylated elastomer comprising an elastomer backbone and one or more carboxy groups, wherein the high acid carboxylated elastomer is the reaction product of a carboxylated elastomer and an amine containing compound.
