Abstract
A gaming system harvests a current progressive value from available gaming devices. A protocol is implemented that incorporates the current progressive value with current geolocation data associated with the available plurality of gaming devices as a universal progressive data feed. The universal progressive data feed is published.
Claims40
A method for processing data in a gaming system having at least one processor device, the method comprising:
- harvesting a current progressive value from one of an available plurality of gaming devices;
- implementing a protocol incorporating the current progressive value with current geolocation data associated with the one of the available plurality of gaming devices as a universal progressive data feed;
- and
- publishing the universal progressive data feed.
A system for processing data in a gaming environment having an available plurality of gaming devices, the system comprising:
- at least one processor device operable on one of the available plurality of gaming devices, wherein the at least one processor device:
- harvests a current progressive value from one of an available plurality of gaming devices,
- implements a protocol incorporating the current progressive value with current geolocation data associated with the one of the available plurality of gaming devices as a universal progressive data feed, and
- publishes the universal progressive data feed.
A computer program product for processing data in a gaming environment having an available plurality of gaming devices with at least one processor device, the computer program product comprising a computer-readable storage medium having computer-readable program code portions stored therein, the computer-readable program code portions comprising:
- a first executable portion that harvests a current progressive value from one of the available plurality of gaming devices;
- a second executable portion that implements a protocol incorporating the current progressive value with current geolocation data associated with the one of the available plurality of gaming devices as a universal progressive data feed;
- and
- a third executable portion that publishes the universal progressive data feed.
