Abstract
A system and method are provided for generating a network design based on existing network assets. One or more parameters regarding a plurality of existing wireless network assets used to provide support for a wireless communication technology can be determined. The plurality of existing wireless network assets are automatically analyzed for supporting equipment of a new wireless communication technology at least in part by comparing a set of specified criteria to the one or more parameters to determine a subset of the plurality of existing wireless network assets. An indication of the subset of the plurality of existing wireless network assets for supporting the equipment of the new wireless communication technology can accordingly be generated.
Claims20
A method for generating a network design based on existing network assets, comprising:
- determining one or more parameters regarding a plurality of existing wireless network assets used to provide support for a wireless communication technology;
- automatically analyzing the plurality of existing wireless network assets for supporting equipment of a new wireless communication technology at least in part by comparing a set of specified criteria to the one or more parameters to determine a subset of the plurality of existing wireless network assets;
- and
- generating an indication of the subset of the plurality of existing wireless network assets for supporting the equipment of the new wireless communication technology.
A system for generating a network design based on existing network assets, comprising:
- an existing asset determining component for obtaining information regarding a plurality of existing network assets or related site locations;
- a criteria determining component for obtaining one or more criteria regarding a new wireless communication technology;
- and
- a design generating component for analyzing the plurality of existing network assets or related site locations based at least in part on the one or more criteria to generate an indication of a portion of the plurality of existing network assets or related site locations to use in deploying the wireless communication technology.
