Abstract
The disclosure is directed to using motion to improve local wireless network connectivity. An aspect determines whether or not a motion state of a mobile device has changed and, if the motion state has changed, determines whether or not to trigger a scan for a local wireless network.

A method of using motion to improve local wireless network connectivity, comprising:
- determining whether or not a motion state of a mobile device has changed;
- and
- if the motion state has changed, determining whether or not to trigger a scan for a local wireless network.
An apparatus for using motion to improve local wireless network connectivity, comprising:
- logic configured to determine whether or not a motion state of a mobile device has changed;
- and
- logic configured to determine whether or not to trigger a scan for a local wireless network if the motion state has changed.
An apparatus for using motion to improve local wireless network connectivity, comprising:
- means for determining whether or not a motion state of a mobile device has changed;
- and
- means for determining whether or not to trigger a scan for a local wireless network if the motion state has changed.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium for using motion to improve local wireless network connectivity, comprising:
- at least one instruction to determine whether or not a motion state of a mobile device has changed;
- and
- at least one instruction to determine whether or not to trigger a scan for a local wireless network if the motion state has changed.
