Abstract
The present invention relates to systems and methods for analyzing animal feeds. In particular, the present disclosure relates to in vitro systems and methods for analyzing animal feed for metabolism of nutrients and energy sources.
Claims9
A method of analyzing animal feed comprising steps of:
- a) digesting a sample of animal feed in vitro using at least one digestive enzyme to generate digested animal feed comprising at least one residual component;
- b) scanning the digested animal feed using NIR spectroscopy to generate spectral data;
- and
- c) comparing the spectral data to a computer model to generate a predicted concentration of the at least one residual component of the digested animal feed.
