Claims30
A plurality of particles having a particle size distribution (D50) of about 100 μm to about 1000 μm, wherein the particles each comprise a drug and one or more pharmaceutically acceptable excipients and wherein the particles are configured such that the amount of drug released from the plurality of particles is no greater than 500% of the amount of drug released from an intact unit dosage form comprising the same amount (w/w) as the plurality of particles, under the following identical conditions:
- 30 mL of ethanol, 25° C., agitated at 100 rpm for a period of time.
A plurality of particles having a particle size distribution (D50) of about 100 μm to about 1000 μm, wherein the particles each comprise a drug and one or more pharmaceutically acceptable excipients and wherein the particles are configured such that the rate of drug released from the plurality of particles is no greater than 500% of the rate of drug released from an intact unit dosage form comprising the same amount (w/w) as the plurality of particles, under the following identical conditions:
- 30 mL of ethanol, 25° C., agitated at 100 rpm for a period of time.
A plurality of particles comprising:
- an active layer comprising a drug and a first polymer, and a barrier layer comprising a second polymer, wherein the active layer and barrier layer are bonded, and wherein the particles are configured such that the amount of drug released from the plurality of particles is no greater than 500% of the amount of drug released an intact unit dosage form comprising the same amount (w/w) as the plurality of particles, under the following identical conditions:
- 30 mL of ethanol, 25° C., agitated at 100 rpm for a period of time.
