Abstract
Inflatable bumper system that stabilizes and protects one or more motorcycles during transport by applying force on both sides of each motorcycle and the walls of the truck or trailer, securing each motorcycle in an upright position, and absorbing any forces resulting from poor road conditions or abrupt driving actions.
Claims3
A motorcycle transport protector comprising an inflatable bumper having a nonabrasive surface and a shape, a size, and a material strength and flexibility to create stabilizing pressure forces, when inflated, against one or more motorcycles during transport, and having a means for harnessing the inflatable bumper to the motorcycle and a truck or trailer.
A method of protecting one motorcycle during transport comprising the steps of:
- a. positioning a motorcycle upright on a truck or trailer;
- b. positioning two deflated inflatable bumpers having a nonabrasive surface and a shape, a size, and a material strength and flexibility to create, when inflated, stabilizing pressure forces on either side of the motorcycle;
- c. harnessing the deflated inflatable bumpers to the motorcycle and to opposing walls of the truck or trailer;
- and
- d. inflating the deflated inflatable bumpers to create stabilizing pressure forces on both sides of the motorcycle.
A method of protecting two or more motorcycles during transport comprising the steps of:
- a. positioning two or more motorcycles upright on a truck or trailer;
- b. positioning deflated inflatable bumpers having a nonabrasive surface and a shape, a size, and a material strength and flexibility to create stabilizing pressure forces, when inflated, between the motorcycles and between the outermost motorcycles and opposing walls of the truck or trailer;
- c. harnessing the deflated inflatable bumpers to the motorcycles and to the opposing walls of the truck or trailer;
- and
- d. inflating the deflated inflatable bumpers to create stabilizing pressure forces on both sides of each motorcycle.
