Abstract
Systems and methods for pulling a pipe liner through a host pipe comprising a pulling head with a number of fingers having flexion points which move to a closed position under towing pressure to thread a pipe liner through a host pipe.
Claims12
A pulling head for pulling a compressed pipe liner into a host pipe, the pulling head comprising:
- a body;
- and
- a plurality of fingers each attached to the body at associated flexion points;
- wherein the plurality of fingers pivot at the associated flexion points from an open orientation to a closed orientation when the fingers are placed under tension from a winch.
