A computing device, comprising:
- a graphics processing unit;
- and
- a central processing unit (CPU) that is configured to execute stored instructions and a storage device that stores instructions, wherein the storage device includes processor executable code that, when executed by the CPU, is configured to:
- process a plurality of frames and a plurality of tracks during a single vertical synchronization cycle;
- schedule the processed frames and tracks for rendering;
- and
- place portions of the CPU and portions of the GPU in a low power state when the plurality of frames and the plurality of tracks have been processed.

A media playback workload scheduler, comprising:
- a buffer manager;
- a media scheduler;
- and
- a timer.
1 more element
A tangible, non-transitory, computer-readable medium comprising code to direct a processor to:
- process a plurality of frames and a plurality of tracks during a single vertical synchronization cycle;
- schedule the processed plurality of frames and plurality of tracks for rendering;
- and
- place portions of the CPU and portions of the GPU in a low power state when the plurality of frames and the plurality of tracks have been processed.
