Abstract
A spa chair with a novel pedicure basin is disclosed. The pedicure basin has a main basin and a secondary basin. The main basin is where the feet of the person sitting in the spa chair goes. This main basin is generally filled with water. In one embodiment, the main basin has water overflow protection through a lowered rim, directing the overflow of water to a secondary basin. This method of overflow protection is especially useful where the main basin has a liner blocking the drain hole within the main basin.

A spa chair comprising:
- a seat;
- a main basin with a lowered rim;
- and
- a secondary basin, wherein the overflow of liquids from the main basin will be directed into said secondary basin via said lowered rim.

A method of directing liquid overflow in a spa chair pedicure basin, comprising the steps of:
- filling a main basin of said pedicure basin with liquid;
- adding more liquid to cause overflow of said liquid within said main;
- and
- directing said overflow of liquid to a secondary basin via a lowered rim of said main basin.
