Abstract
The present invention provides compositions and methods for treating or preventing viral infections.
Claims13
A method of decreasing adhesion of a virus to a cell, comprising:
- contacting the virus with a fusion polypeptide, wherein the fusion polypeptide comprises a first polypeptide operably linked to a second polypeptide wherein the first polypeptide carries at least one glycan selected from the group consisting of:
- a) a Siaα3Galα4GlcNAcβ3 glycan,
- b) a Siaα3Galβ3GlcNAcβ3 glycan,
- c) a Siaα6Galβ4GlcNAcβ3 glycan, and
- d) a Siaα6Galβ3GlcNAcβ3 glycan,
- and the second polypeptide comprises at least a region of an immunoglobulin polypeptide.
