Abstract
Methods, systems, and products verify identity of a person. A signature, representing the presence of a device, is acquired. The signature is compared to a reference signature. When the signature favorably compares to the reference signature, then the identity of a user associated with the device is verified.
Claims20
A method of verifying identity, comprising:
- receiving, by a processor, a request to verify the identify of a person carrying a device;
- receiving, by the processor, a radio-frequency signature associated with the device;
- retrieving, by the processor, an historical radio-frequency signature previously received from the device;
- retrieving, by the processor, a strictness of comparison associated with the device;
- comparing, by the processor, the radio-frequency signature to the historical radio-frequency signature according to the strictness of comparison;
- determining, by the processor, a match between the radio-frequency signature and the historical radio-frequency;
- and
- verifying, by the processor, the identity of the person carrying the device in response to the match.

A system for verifying an identity, comprising:
- a processor;
- and
- a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processor, facilitate performance of operations, comprising:
- receiving a request to verify the identify of a person carrying a device;
- receiving a radio-frequency signature associated with the device;
- retrieving an historical radio-frequency signature previously received from the device;
- retrieving a strictness of comparison associated with the device;
- comparing the radio-frequency signature to the historical radio-frequency signature according to the strictness of comparison;
- determining a match between the radio-frequency signature and the historical radio-frequency;
- and
- verifying the identity of the person carrying the device in response to the match.

A memory storing executable instructions that, when executed by a processor, facilitate performance of operations, the operations comprising:
- receiving an identity verification request to verify a identify of a person carrying a device;
- receiving multiple radio-frequency signals transmitted from articles carried by the person;
- retrieving historical radio-frequency signals previously associated with the device;
- retrieving a strictness of comparison associated with the device;
- comparing the multiple radio-frequency signals transmitted from articles to the historical radio-frequency signals according to the strictness of comparison;
- determining a match between the multiple radio-frequency signals transmitted from articles and the historical radio-frequency signals;
- and
- verifying the identity of the person carrying the device in response to the match.
