Abstract
A particular method includes extracting, at a computing device, uniform resource locator data from closed-captioning content. The method further includes receiving, at the computing device, user settings via a network interface. The user settings include an organizational preference corresponding to the uniform resource locator data. The method also includes generating, at the computing device, a web page that includes a portion of the uniform resource locator data as selectable links. The selectable links are organized according to the organizational preference.
Claims20
A method comprising:
- extracting, at a computing device, uniform resource locator data from closed-captioning content;
- receiving, at the computing device, user settings via a network interface, wherein the user settings include an organizational preference corresponding to the uniform resource locator data;
- and
- generating, at the computing device, a web page that includes a portion of the uniform resource locator data as selectable links, wherein the selectable links are organized according to the organizational preference.
An apparatus comprising:
- a processor to extract uniform resource locator data from closed-captioning content;
- a network interface to receive user settings, wherein the user settings include an organizational preference corresponding to the uniform resource locator data;
- and
- a web server to:
- generate a web page that includes a portion of the uniform resource locator data as selectable links, wherein the selectable links are organized according to the organizational preference;
- and
- send the web page to a device via the network interface.
A computer-readable storage device comprising instructions that, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to perform operations including:
- receiving, at a plugin corresponding to a web browser of a client device, information from a set-top box device, wherein the information is associated with uniform resource locator data extracted from closed-captioning content;
- and
- in response to the information, sending to the client web browser, a command to request a web page from the set-top box device, wherein the web page includes a portion of the uniform resource locator data as selectable links.
