Abstract
A method and an apparatus for managing an application are provided. A method of managing an electronic device includes deleting an application, detecting entering of an icon edit mode, and displaying an icon of the deleted application when in the icon edit mode.

A method in an electronic device, the method comprising:
- deleting an application;
- detecting entering of an icon edit mode;
- and
- displaying an icon of the deleted application when in the icon edit mode.

- a touch sensitive display;

- one or more programs stored in the memory and configured to be executed by the one or more processors,
- wherein the program includes an instruction for deleting an application, for detecting entering of an icon edit mode, and for displaying an icon of the deleted application when in the icon edit mode.
