Abstract
Described herein are systems and methods for analyzing social media data for assets and related sub-assets, and simultaneously displaying the analysis for assets, sub-assets, and contributing social media content items to give the user insight into the analysis. The analysis may be based on user selection of a time frame, and may also include a historical timeline that plots different lines for different assets. The user may select one of the assets and cause related sub-assets and social media content items to be simultaneously displayed.
Claims20
A system for comparing the social media performance of an asset, the system comprising:
- a database the stores a plurality of social media content items;
- a server that is communicatively coupled to the database, wherein the server performs stages comprising:
- receiving an input from a client that is located remotely from the server, the input specifying a time frame for analysis;
- calculating a first set of scores for each of a first plurality of first tier assets based on the time frame, the plurality of assets including a target asset and at least one comparison asset for comparison to the target;
- calculating a second set of scores for each of a second plurality of second tier assets based on the time frame, wherein each of the second plurality of second tier assets is associated with at least one of the first tier assets;
- selecting at least two social media content items that impacted both the first and second sets of scores, the at least two social media content items being selected from the plurality of social media content items;
- delivering the first set of scores, the second set of scores, and the at least two social media content items to the client for simultaneous display.
A non-transitory, computer-readable medium containing instructions that, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to perform stages comprising:
- receiving an input from a client that is remote from the computer-readable medium, the input specifying a time frame for analysis;
- calculating a first set of scores for each of a first plurality of assets based on the time frame, the plurality of assets including a target asset and at least one comparison asset for comparison to the target;
- calculating a second set of scores for each of a second plurality of sub-assets based on the time frame, wherein each of the second plurality of sub-assets is a second tier associated with at least one of the first plurality of assets;
- selecting at least two social media content items that impacted both the first and second sets of scores, the at least two social media content items being selected from the plurality of social media content items;
- and
- delivering the first set of scores, the second set of scores, and the at least two social media content items to the client for use in simultaneously displaying scores at the client for at least two of the first plurality of assets and at least two of the second plurality of sub-assets.
A computer-implemented method having steps including:
- receiving, via an input device, a user input specifying a time frame for analysis;
- simultaneously displaying, on a display device, at least the following information:
- a first set of scores for each of a first plurality of first assets based on the time frame, the first plurality of first assets including a target asset and at least one comparison asset for comparison to the target;
- a second set of scores for each of a second plurality of second assets based on the time frame, wherein each of the second plurality of second assets impact the social media performance of the target;
- at least two social media content items that impacted both the first and second sets of scores, the at least two social media content items being selected from the plurality of social media content items;
- and
- receiving an input updating the time frame and updating the display in response.
