Abstract
Computer software for creating and displaying intuitively understandable visual representations of personal budgeting information that use proportionate bubble graphics for portions of a budget, each graphic having a visual size depiction proportionate to its percentage of the total budget being considered.
Claims7
Computer software for displaying personal budgeting information comprising:
- means for obtaining a user's personal budgeting data,
- means for storing a user's personal budgeting data,
- means for graphically displaying a user's personal budgeting data,
- means for graphically representing a user's personal budgeting data, including budgets and sub-budgets, as bubblebubbles selected from the group consisting of three-dimensional bubblebubbles and two-dimensional bubblebubbles
- means for calculating a graphical representation of a user's expenses as a portion of a budgeted budget or sub-budget, and displaying said graphical representation on said means for graphically displaying,
- means for warning a user when expenses in a sub-budget reach a pre-determined percentage of the allowed budget for that sub-budget category, and
- means for warning a user when expenses in a sub-budget exceed a pre-determined percentage of the allowed budget for that sub-budget category;
- wherein each of said graphical bubbles representing said sub-budgets have a total size equal to the size of the budget graphical bubble to which they correspond.
