Abstract
An approach for determining the geometry of a path of travel of a vehicle based on mapping information is described. A map based projection platform processes and/or facilitates a processing of mapping information associated with at least one path of travel of at least one vehicle to determine a geometry of the at least one path of travel. The map based projection platform further determines one or more display parameters for causing, at least in part, a projection of navigation information, safety information, or a combination thereof for the at least one vehicle based, at least in part, on the geometry.
Claims21
A method comprising facilitating a processing of and/or processing (1) data and/or (2) information and/or (3) at least one signal, the (1) data and/or (2) information and/or (3) at least one signal based, at least in part, on the following:
- a processing of mapping information associated with at least one path of travel of at least one vehicle to determine a geometry of the at least one path of travel;
- and
- at least one determination of one or more display parameters for causing, at least in part, a projection of navigation information, safety information, or a combination thereof for the at least one vehicle based, at least in part, on the geometry.
An apparatus comprising:
- at least one processor;
- and
- at least one memory including computer program code for one or more programs,
- the at least one memory and the computer program code configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the apparatus to perform at least the following,
- process and/or facilitate a processing of mapping information associated with at least one path of travel of at least one vehicle to determine a geometry of the at least one path of travel;
- and
- determine one or more display parameters for causing, at least in part, a projection of navigation information, safety information, or a combination thereof for the at least one vehicle based, at least in part, on the geometry.
