Method for manufacturing needle-equipped outer tube, and needle-equipped outer tube

A method for manufacturing a needle-equipped outer tube, comprising:

• providing a needle and a joint member, wherein the joint member has a needle insertion hole in which the needle is located, and wherein the needle and the joint member are integrally formed;
• providing an outer tube comprising a connection section at a first axial end portion of the outer tube;
• pressing the joint member, with the needle located in the needle insertion hole, toward the connection section, such that the joint member engages with the connection section of the outer tube;
• and
• thermally welding the joint member and the connection section, such that the joint member is joined to the connection section of the outer tube.

A needle-equipped outer tube comprising:

• a needle;
• a joint member that supports the needle, the needle being insert molded or thermally welded to the joint member;
• and
• an outer tube including a connection section,
• wherein the joint member is thermally welded to the connection section of the outer tube.
