Abstract
Methods are disclosed for treating cerebral ischemia using a combination of C1-INH and immunoglobulin, such as human plasma derived immunoglobulin (IVIG).
Claims29
A method of preventing, treating, or reducing the effects of inflammation damage or reperfusion injury following cerebral ischemia, comprising administering a composition comprising an immunoglobulin and a composition comprising C1-Inhibitor (C1-INH).
A kit for the treatment of cerebral ischemia, comprising:
- (a) an immunoglobulin;
- (b) C1-INH;
- and
- (c) optionally, at least one further therapeutically active compound or drug.
