Abstract
A system including an image capturing unit configured to capture an image of at least one medical device monitoring a patient, a database including images of a plurality of medical devices, where each image corresponds to a particular medical device, and a data collection server configured to receive the at least one image, receive patient identification data corresponding to the patient, and identify the medical device in the image by comparing the received image with the images stored in the database and matching the received image with the images stored in the database.
Claims20
A system comprising:
- an image capturing unit configured to capture at least one image of at least one medical device monitoring a patient;
- a database including images of a plurality of medical devices, wherein each image corresponds to a particular medical device at a particular angle;
- and
- a data collection server configured to:
- receive the at least one image;
- receive patient identification data corresponding to the patient;
- detect the at least one medical device in the image;
- modify the received image to prepare the received image for comparison;
- and
- compare the received image with the images stored in the database and match the received image with at least one of the images stored in the database to identify the particular medical device.
A method for optical device recognition association, comprising:
- capturing at least one image of at least one medical device monitoring the patient;
- receiving the at least one image;
- receiving patient identification data corresponding to the patient;
- detecting the at least one medical device in the image;
- modifying the image received to prepare the received image for comparison;
- and
- comparing the received image with images stored in a database corresponding to particular medical devices and match the received image with at least one of the images stored in the database to identify the particular medical device.
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a program which, when executed by a computer, causes the computer to perform a method for optical device recognition association, comprising:
- capturing at least one image of at least one medical device monitoring the patient;
- receiving the at least one image;
- receiving patient identification data corresponding to the patient;
- detecting the at least one medical device in the image;
- modifying the image received to prepare the received image for comparison;
- and
- comparing the received image with images stored in a database corresponding to particular medical devices and matching the received image with at least one of the images stored in the database to identify the particular medical device.
