Methods and apparatus for accessing dormant cells

An apparatus for wireless communication, the apparatus being a user equipment (UE), comprising:

• a processing system configured to:
• receive an information block from a first base station while camped on a second base station, the information block comprising an indication of a random access configuration for performing at least a part of a random access procedure;
• determine to reselect to the first base station from the second base station;
• and
• perform at least a part of a random access procedure with the first base station based on the indicated random access configuration to reselect from a second base station to the first base station.

An apparatus for wireless communication, the apparatus being a user equipment (UE), comprising:

• means for receiving an information block from a first base station while camped on a second base station, the information block comprising an indication of a random access configuration for performing at least a part of a random access procedure;
• means for determining to reselect to the first base station from the second base station;
• and
• means for performing at least a part of a random access procedure with the first base station based on the indicated random access configuration to reselect from a second base station to the first base station.

A computer program product in a user equipment (UE), comprising:

• a computer-readable medium comprising code for:
• receiving an information block from a first base station while camped on a second base station, the information block comprising an indication of a random access configuration for performing at least a part of a random access procedure;
• determining to reselect to the first base station from the second base station;
• and
• performing at least a part of a random access procedure with the first base station based on the indicated random access configuration to reselect from a second base station to the first base station.
