Abstract
A thermal head and a thermal printer are disclosed. The thermal head includes a substrate, an an electrode on the substrate, a heating portion connected to the electrode, and a protective layer on the heating portion. The protective layer includes a first layer and a second layer. The first layer is disposed on the heating portion and includes silicon carbonitride. The second layer is disposed on the first layer and includes silicon oxide.
Claims12
A thermal head, comprising:
- a substrate;
- an electrode on the substrate;
- a heating portion connected to the electrode;
- and
- a protective layer on the heating portion,
- wherein the protective layer comprises:
- a first layer on the heating portion, comprising silicon carbonitride;
- and
- a second layer on the first layer, comprising silicon oxide.
