Abstract
Gesture control uses electromagnetic power signatures. A signal is received and a power of the signal is determined. The power is associated to a command, and the command is executed in response to a gesture.
Claims20
A method of controlling a device, comprising:
- determining, by a processor, an electromagnetic power transported by an electromagnetic signal;
- querying a database for the electromagnetic power, the database associating different electromagnetic powers to different commands;
- retrieving, by the processor, one of the different commands that is associated with the electromagnetic power;
- and
- executing, by the processor, the one of the different commands to control the device.
2 more elements
A system, comprising:
- a processor;
- and
- a memory storing code that when executed causes the processor to perform operations, the operations comprising:
- receiving electromagnetic signal transmitted during gesture movement of a remote control;
- determining an electromagnetic power associated with the electromagnetic signal;
- querying a database for the electromagnetic power, the database associating different electromagnetic powers to different commands;
- retrieving one of the different commands that is associated with the electromagnetic power;
- and
- executing the one of the different commands in response to the gesture.
6 more elements
A memory storing code which when executed causes a processor to perform operations, the operations comprising:
- receiving electromagnetic signal transmitted during gesture movement of a mobile device;
- determining an electromagnetic power associated with the electromagnetic signal;
- querying a database for the electromagnetic power, the database associating different electromagnetic powers to different commands;
- retrieving one of the different commands that is associated with the electromagnetic power;
- and
- executing the one of the different commands in response to the gesture.
