Abstract
A bismuth-doped perovskite thermoelectric, comprising (Bix, La0.1-x)SrTiO3, wherein x is between 0.01 and 0.1, can have a high figure-of-merit, ZT.
Claims9
A high-ZT bismuth-doped perovskite thermoelectric, comprising (Bix, La0.1-x)SrTiO3, wherein x is between 0.01 and 0.1
A method for preparing a high-ZT bismuth-doped perovskite thermoelectric component, comprising:
- providing a stoichiometric mixture of SrCO3, La2O3, Bi2O3, and TiO2;
- calcining the mixture to provide a powder of (Bix, La0.1-x)SrTiO3, wherein x is between 0.01 and 0.1;
- sintering the powder to provide a ceramic component;
- and
- heat treating the component in a reducing atmosphere to provide a high-ZT bismuth-doped perovskite thermoelectric component.
