Abstract
Present invention embodiments include a thermal treatment system for thermally treating and individually monitoring a plurality of medical or other items. The thermal treatment system includes a modular configuration with a control unit and one or more modular units coupled to the control unit, where each of the control and modular units thermally treat a plurality of corresponding medical items. The control unit includes a display to interact with a user for setting a desired temperature, and controls the modular units to thermally treat corresponding medical items to the desired temperature.
Claims27
A temperature control system for thermally treating medical items to desired temperatures comprising:
- one or more modular units each including at least one thermal treatment assembly to thermally treat a corresponding medical item;
- and
- a control unit coupled to each of the modular units and including:
- at least one thermal treatment assembly to thermally treat a corresponding medical item;
- and
- a controller to facilitate entry of said desired temperature for each medical item within said control and modular units and to display information pertaining to medical item heating by said control and modular units.
A method of thermally treating medical items to desired temperatures within a temperature control system including a control unit coupled to one or more modular units, said method comprising:
- (a) receiving a medical item in said control unit and one or more modular units, wherein said control and modular units each include at least one (hernial treatment assembly to thermally treat corresponding medical items, and wherein said control unit is coupled to each of said modular units;
- (b) facilitating entry of a desired temperature for each medical item within said control and modular units via said control unit;
- and
- (c) displaying information, via said control unit, pertaining to medical item heating by said control and modular units.
