Abstract
The invention provides a method for effecting a photocatalytic or photoelectrocatalytic reaction of a reactant comprising contacting a metallic material having an electrical conductivity of 105 to 106 S/m with the reactant and exposing the metallic material and the reactant to visible light so as to catalyse the reaction of the reactant.
Claims22
A method for effecting a photocatalytic or photoelectrocatalytic reaction of a reactant comprising:
- contacting a metallic material having an electrical conductivity of 105 to 106 S/m with the reactant;
- and
- exposing the metallic material and the reactant to visible light so as to catalyse the reaction of the reactant.
A photovoltaic device comprising photoactive material in which the photoactive material is a metallic material having an electrical conductivity of 105 to 106 S/m.
