Abstract
A crop harvesting width of a harvester head is partitioned into a plurality of portions. At least one sensor detects a metric of a crop being harvested for each of the plurality of portions. A processing unit determines an attribute of the crop harvested for each of a plurality of portions using the detected metric.
Claims33
An apparatus comprising:
- a harvester head having a crop harvesting width partitioned into a plurality of portions;
- at least one sensor to detect a metric of a crop being harvested for each of the plurality of portions;
- and
- a processing unit to determine an attribute of the crop harvested for each of the plurality of portions using the detected metric.
1 more element
An apparatus comprising:
- a stripper plate for a cornrow head and against which ears of corn impact separate from corresponding stalks;
- and
- a sensor coupled to the stripper plate so as to sense a metric produced from the ears of corn impacting the stripper plate.
An apparatus comprising:
- a non-transient computer-readable medium storing computer-readable code to direct a processing unit to:
- receive a sensed metric of a crop being harvested for each of a plurality of portions of a harvester;
- and
- determine an attribute of the crop harvested for each of the plurality of portions of the harvester.
1 more element
A method comprising:
- sensing a metric of a crop being harvested for each of a plurality of portions of a harvester head, each of the portions having a width than a crop harvesting width of the harvester;
- and
- determining an attribute of the crop harvested for each of the plurality of portions.
