Abstract
Dihydrocarbyl diazene dicarboxamides (DHCDD) have been found to effectively reduce the ignition delay and/or as effective cetane number improvers in diesel fuels and is suitable for use in modern engines.
Claims20
A composition comprising a diesel base fuel and at least one dihydrocarbyl diazene dicarboxamide.
A method for reducing the ignition delay and/or increasing the cetane number of a diesel fuel composition, which method comprises adding to the composition an amount of at least one dihydrocarbyl diazene dicarboxamide.
